There once was a people,
who looked at other people,
and thought – oh, my god -
I wouldn’t want that.

didn’t want THAT.

Anyway -

The Audacity of Hope was part of a flotilla going to Gaza with human aid. That it was also effectively challenging the Israeli Blockade of Gaza has certainly been a neat bonus.

The Audacity of Hope is now in Greece because its Captain has been accused not only of leaving port without permission – but with – yes – get this – ‘endangering the lives of passengers’!

You might as well arrest every cab driver in the world.

The Mind of the Square

The square will listen to no single voice – since all ‘single’ voices deviate (as any individual is bound to do) from the will of the square, and that will is complex and fluid, because it’s a mix of the square-mind + the pressure from outside the square (both from a government that attempts to control it and a people that may not fully support it) and how the people in the square estimate their ability to influence that…

There is a direction, but there is no director – and that’s okay – the only real problem with that, it’s that it’s bumpier, rougher, and sometimes agonizingly slower – but sooner or later, so far – the people have come around. It’s a pace that is quicker on action, and slower on concept – but they do come around.
